Question:  Is there a drug interaction between baclofen, lamotrigine (Lamictal), and dantrolene?

Answer:
Both baclofen and dantrolene are considered muscle relaxants. Muscle relaxants cause muscles to relax and also usually can cause some amount of drowsiness or sleepiness.  Taking two of these medications together can cause increased drowsiness or sleepiness.

Lamotrigine (Lamictal) is in a different class of medications, but can also cause drowsiness in some people who take it.

Since all three of these medications have the potential to cause drowsiness, taking them all together could cause more drowsiness than either one of them alone.

For many people the drowsiness caused by these medications is short-lived and this effect goes away after the body adjusts to the medication.  However, some people may continue to experience some amount of drowsiness with these medications.
